FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for a Trainee Asset Inspection Technician to strengthen their existing team. The role is based in the Tipton area with travel to sites as required.

Trainee Asset Inspection Technician responsibilities:

Conduct asset condition assessments using various methods, including ultrasonic testing, forensic inspections, and under pressure camera surveys
Carry out physical inspections on-site, often in demanding environments and under varying weather conditions
Operate specialist equipment related to pipe condition testing and live water main access
Support drilling and tapping operations on live water mains where required
Accurately record findings and assist in compiling detailed technical reports
Use computer applications and data management systems to document and analyse inspection results
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely delivery of services to clients
Adapt to a flexible working schedule, including occasional travel and overnight stays, based on client needs
Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all tasks

Trainee Asset Inspection Technician requirements:

A valid full clean UK driving Licence
Strong IT skills with good numeracy and literacy
Reside within a commutable distance of Tipton
