Trainee Inspection Technician

FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for a Trainee Asset Inspection Technician to strengthen their existing team. The role is based in the Tipton area with travel to sites as required.

Trainee Asset Inspection Technician responsibilities:

• Conduct asset condition assessments using various methods, including ultrasonic testing, forensic inspections, and under pressure camera surveys
• Carry out physical inspections on-site, often in demanding environments and under varying weather conditions
• Operate specialist equipment related to pipe condition testing and live water main access
• Support drilling and tapping operations on live water mains where required
• Accurately record findings and assist in compiling detailed technical reports
• Use computer applications and data management systems to document and analyse inspection results
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely delivery of services to clients
• Adapt to a flexible working schedule, including occasional travel and overnight stays, based on client needs
• Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all tasks

Trainee Asset Inspection Technician requirements:

• A valid full clean UK driving Licence
• Strong IT skills with good numeracy and literacy
• Reside within a commutable distance of Tipton
